Before And After Under Eye Bags & Dark Circles Case 359
ABOUT OUR PATIENT
If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the eyelids would be their curtains. A lot of your personality comes out in the eyes. It's where the real you can be seen and felt. If your eyelids are looking droopy, it makes you look tired and worn out. (Same goes for that area under your eyes.)
Our patient, a woman in her early 50's from San Ramon, thought her eyes were making her look much more tired than she actually felt. Her eyelids were sagging, her tear troughs were puffing out, and there was a significant amount of wrinkling present. She was ready to make an impactful change so her youthful spirit could shine again.
While consulting with me at my office in the San Francisco Bay Area, I helped this patient figure out what this change would look like and what she could expect.
MFI TREATMENT PLAN
Changing your appearance, much like changing your life, takes some time. I was lucky to be able to work with this patient, who came in requesting help with her eye region, because of her patience and dedication. I spent time explaining to her the different options that could help bring out the sparkle in her eyes.
SURGICAL TREATMENT
First, we decided to address the eyelids with an upper blepharoplasty procedure. if you're not familiar with that term, it basically means we an upper eyelid surgery.
NON-SURGICAL TREATMENT
Then we wanted to restore some of that volume that was missing from underneath her eyes. This was where non-surgical dermal filler injections came in handy. I started off by giving her one application of Radiesse to her cheeks, chin and oral commissures. For her tear troughs, we tried out an application of Restylane, Her brow and crow's feet were taken care of using applications of Dysport
THE OUTCOME
I'm tempted to let the before and after pictures speak for themselves here, because as you can see - it's almost as if she's aging backwards now. I'm amazed every time she comes in to see us. This change was the product of seven treatments over the course of two years or so. This is a perfect case to show anyone who wants to know what committing to the process of staying beautiful looks like.
