ABOUT OUR PATIENT
This beautiful and energetic patient in her early 30’s is a fitness model and enthusiast! She came in wanting to add more filler to her upper lip for a fuller appearance, while preserving her natural lip shape.
MFI TREATMENT PLAN
Upon exam, the injector noticed some heaviness that appeared on the lateral portion above the upper lip - which creates that “ducky” appearance or “heaviness” to the lips. The key feature to this patient’s lip transformation was the use of Hyaluronidase (Hylenex) to dissolve the existing filler from a previous outside injector.
By dissolving the misplaced filler, we were able to decrease that “ducky'' appearance on both sides above her upper lip - resulting in a more defined lip border. Prior to filling her lips, she waited a minimum of 4 weeks to allow any residual swelling to subside (as millimeters make a difference!)
Now adding filler to the lateral portions of the red body of her upper lip, we created a more defined and naturally hydrated look to the lips as well as a small amount of BOTOX that was injected in the upper lip for a lip flip.
THE OUTCOME
It’s important to note that our patient did get veneers placed after receiving her lip treatment which also compliments her overall lip transformation and smile! She will be back every 6 - 9 months for maintenance.
