Even though this patient was content with pictures taken from the front, he wasn't satisfied with his profile view. He felt that he needed more chin projection so his features would match the strength of his character. After researching non-surgical chin augmentation in San Francisco, he was referred to my practice. We set up a consultation to find the right solution that would give him that naturally perfect chin he was after.

This case was an interesting one. This pathway already had pretty good chin projection. Take a look at his before photo; see how his chin nicely projects in a line to his lower lip? Even so, it looked like he had a double chin. This patient is in great shape, so this appearance was very incongruent with his physique. I don't think any amount of exercise would have fixed this issue.

As my examination continued, we realized what the real problem was. The vertical height of his chin was slightly deficient. I knew that the best filler to remedy this was Juvederm Voluma, so I applied two syringes to the bottom of his chin. This got rid of that unfortunate optical illusion that suggested he had a double chin by increasing the vertical height.

THE OUTCOME

Every now and again I run into cases like this. You find out that instead of augmenting the entire chin, you can just treat parts of it - like the bottoms and sides - and get transformative results.
