ABOUT OUR PATIENT

This delightful patient in her early 60s came to us with concerns about the vertical wrinkling above her lips and within her lips. She wanted to reverse her aged appearance, as she felt she "looked unhappy and haggered." Additionally, she was unhappy with her thin upper lip and how it seemed to flatten when she smiled, as well as her small mouth that contributed to a gummy smile. Her goal was to achieve a subtle enhancement that would make her look rejuvenated without making it obvious she had any work done.

MFI TREATMENT PLAN

Our expert injectors devised a comprehensive plan tailored to her needs. We started with dermal fillers, focusing on the areas within and around her lips to smooth out those troublesome wrinkles. We used hyaluronic acid-based fillers, which are great for adding natural-looking volume and hydration to the lips. This helped to plump up her thin upper lip and enhance the overall shape of her small mouth.

To further soften the vertical lines above her mouth, we incorporated Daxxify, a neuromodulator similar to Botox, but with a unique flair. The dynamic movement of her lips over the years had led to these persistent wrinkles, and Daxxify helped relax the muscles responsible for these lines. We applied a technique known as a lip flip with subtle injections around the upper lip, which gave it a gentle lift and made her smile more harmonious.

Fast forward three years, and our patient looks far younger and refreshed today! The results are nothing short of amazing, and they’re subtle enough to look totally natural. The hyaluronic acid fillers provided the perfect amount of volume to enhance her thin upper lip and small mouth without looking overdone.
