ABOUT OUR PATIENT
This early 50’s patient noticed persistent under eye fullness after filler treatment with an outside provider. In certain light, she also noticed a slight hue of blue discoloration where her under eyes had been filled. When filler is placed at a shallow depth under the skin, this bluish tint is known as the Tyndall effect.
MFI TREATMENT PLAN
When too much volume is added to the tear troughs, the area can appear puffier than before it was ever filled. 2 rounds of Hyaluronidase dissolvent was used to remove the previously placed filler, then Restylane was re-added to create a more smooth, natural looking result.
