The actual surgical results, with improved tip shape and dorsum width |

2. Make the tip more symmetric on frontal view
3. Narrow the bridge on frontal view
4. Decrease the nasal hump on profile
5. Slightly deproject the nasal tip on profile.
In general, she wanted her nose to be somewhat softer and she wanted to feel good wearing hats. Her husband, who felt she was gorgeous, but supported her decision to refine the nose a tad, accompanied her to the consultation.
Dr. Mabrie's Assessment: “She really was an attractive lady with some minor features that were distracting about her nose. Because of the prominent convexity on profile, and the asymmetry of the tip on frontal view, the nose had a slightly irregular contour, which distracted from her other great features like her eyes.
We agreed that the goals would be to tweak these irregularities, while maintaining a shape that was long and elegant enough to match her overall stature. We had the benefit of using computer imaging to illustrate our goals in the office prior to performing the surgery."
Procedure: Open Rhinoplasty with osteotomies to narrow the bridge, cartilage grafts to shape the tip, reducing the convexity of the right side and removing the small midline cleft between the cartilages.
Recovery/ Results: “The two month results show early improvements in the contour and overall shape. At one month patients may sometimes see 20% of final results, there is still a lot of swelling which will decrease over the following 4 to 9 months.”
