Background: This San Francisco woman in her early 40's was starting to notice a change in her face. She was concerned about the heaviness of her eyes and some sagging skin along her jaw line. While many of her friends and colleagues told her she looked great and didn't need anything, she was able to notice a slow but steady changes in her face.
Dr. Mabrie's Assessment: This is an example of how early, preventative surgery can benefit today's San Francisco resident. Some of the early signs of aging could be seen on both frontal and profile views. On the frontal view, there was some heaviness of the upper eyelids. This could have been addressed by a blepharoplasty alone, but would be more thoroughly addressed with a browlift. On the profile view, there was some early sagging of the face and neck skin. Because the sagging was slight, she was a good candidate for a short scar facelift, which would allow her to wear her hair up if needed.
